Johnson steps down at Xavier

CEDAR RAPIDS -- Krista Johnson's first season with the Xavier High School volleyball program was a championship season.It was also her last season.Xavier released Wednesday that Johnson has resigned.“We are thankful to Krista for her efforts in leading the volleyball program during the 2013 season," Xavier Athletics Director Mike Winker said in a released. We wish Krista the best and will begin the search for a new head coach immediately.”The Saints were 28-11 last season, winning the MVC Valley Division championship. They reached the Class 4A regional finals before losing to West Delaware.Kayla Torson and Madsy Richards, the top two attackers from 2013, will be back next season.
