Giannini, Shirley May Minnick
Shirley May Minnick Giannini, 87, of Mount Vernon, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, in the Solon Care Center. There is to be a private family viewing. An Open House will be at the Southeast Linn Community Center, 108 S. Washington St., Lisbon, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013. Arrangements with Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon.
Surviving Shirley are her children, Anthony “Tony” (Janet) of Manchester, Joseph (Cynthia) of Mount Vernon, Margaret “Marnie” Kounkel of Tucson, Ariz., and Ann Giannini of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Donald Minnick of Albany, Ore.
In lieu of flowers, Shirley would be honored to have a donation made in her name to an animal shelter or rescue.
We would like to thank Iowa City Hospice for their wonderful, caring work they did at the end of Shirley's life. Also, the excellent care she received at Solon Care Center.
