Stephanie Hogan
Stephanie Hogan, the daughter of James F. and Rebecca L. Hogan of rural Monticello, a 1986 alumni of Sacred Heart School and a 2007 graduate of Iowa State University where she received her Bachelor of Agriculture Studies degree and went on to work five years for Cargill Incorporated in Iowa, Minnesota, Oregon, Montana, Washington and Alaska, recently became a Postulant with the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate. On Friday, August 1, 2014 at Madonna delle Grazie Church in Villa Santa Lucia, Italy, Stephanie received the blue/gray habit and white veil, worn by first-year Postulants, along with a change of her name to Sister Maria Stefania of the Immaculate Coredemptrix. The Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate are a religious community founded by Father Stefano Maria Manelli and Father Gabriel Maria Pellettieri. The Sisters live an evangelical life in offering everything they do for the greatest glory of God. From running an orphanage in Brazil, caring for the lepers in Nigeria and operating a Catholic radio station in Australia, the Sisters are carrying out the work of the Holy Spirit throughout the world. Sister Maria Stefania will be living at the Postulancy House in Italy until she takes her first vows next year.
She welcomes prayer requests and letters.
