It's been almost a year.
Every day I miss you,
and I wish that you were near.
God called you home that fateful night,
Now death I do not fear.
I know that you're in heaven,
still, I've cried many a tear.
I'm thankful you did not suffer,
I would love your voice to hear.
Someday we will meet again, I know,
until then, I have memories of you, my dear.
