Roy & Sharon Adams celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on October 4, 2015 at Iowa River Power Company in Coralville, IA. It was hosted by their sons, Mark Adams & Randy Adams; daughter-in-law, Roxi Port Adams; and granddaughter, Deidre Adams.

Roy & Sharon were married on October 9, 1965 in Council Bluffs, IA at St. Paul

Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod).

Officiating at the ceremony was Pastor

Herman F. Graef from Bethlehem Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod), Omaha, NE. The witnesses were Mr. William Elton Tallman & his wife, Mrs. Sheryl Sue Tallman.

Roy was born in Iowa City, IA and is the son of Earl & Ruth Adams. Sharon was born in Muscatine, IA, and is the daughter of John ("Jack") & Nellie Maylone. During 1966, Roy & Sharon moved from Council Bluffs to

begin their family in Iowa City. Their sons

include Randy (Roxi) Adams of Bolingbrook, IL and Mark Adams of Cedar Rapids, IA. Grandchildren include Evan Adams, a

freshman student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Deidre Adams, a junior at Bolingbrook High School.
