Ashamed of Ashley Hinson’s Jan. 6 denial

I am ashamed of our Congresswoman Ashley Hinson. Recently, she stood behind House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy during a press conference as McCarthy downplayed the Jan. 6 insurrection yet again. He referred to it as an altercation as Hinson nodded her head in agreement. Another capital officer just committed suicide after this incident, Rep. Hinson. We've all seen the footage of what happened. You disrespect all the law enforcement there that day who protected you and your constituents from harm. Your character or lack thereof is most evident.

Shout out to Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming. She has the fortitude to stand up and represent the truth regarding one of the worst days in American History. Rep. Cheney not only represents so many Americans in her drive to hold the right people accountable but she also represents many Iowans. I can only hope that another Liz (Mathis) will defeat Hinson in the next election.
