Our goal is to make sure Iowa Ideas is accessible to all Iowans who want to join the conversation. In our inaugural year, more than 600 people from all walks of life attended to discuss the shared future of our state.
The Iowa Ideas conference will return to Cedar Rapids, October 3 & 4, 2019.
There are two opportunities to attend Iowa Ideas 2019 for no cost:
Scholarships:
A limited number of scholarships are available for current 8-12 and higher education students. Applications will be accepted until May 3. Winners will be notified by June 3.
Scholarship winners will receive a waived registration to attend the Iowa Ideas conference, October 3 & 4, 2019 in Cedar Rapids.
Volunteer opportunities:
The conference requires many volunteers to assist in a variety of ways including set up, registration, room hosts and others. Shifts are broken in to 4-hour increments and you will be required to work your designated shift. In exchange, volunteers will receive a complimentary admission pass and an exclusive Iowa Ideas t-shirt. Volunteer sign up will begin on June 3.
A participant takes notes at the Iowa Ideas Energy and Environment symposium at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.
