Debra Kaye Hepker, 60, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Urbana, with the Rev. Jim Brokman as celebrant. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, rural Urbana. Visitation will be held from 4 to
8 p.m. Monday at the church in Urbana. The wearing of masks and social distancing is recommended. A memorial fund has been established.
Debra was born on Aug. 9, 1960, in Vinton, the daughter of Richard and Marlene (Zieser) Tuttle. She graduated from Urbana High School, with the class of 1978. She was united in marriage to Myland Hepker on July 17, 2010, at their river cabin near Vinton. Deb operated a daycare service for many years and later realized her dream of following in her grandparent's footsteps by owning and operating the Bottoms Up Bar & Grill in Rowley.
Deb was a member of St. Mary's in Urbana and loved spending time with family and friends, especially spoiling her grandchildren. Holidays were a joy for Deb and she loved to share her hospitality with family as well as anyone who needed a place to celebrate. Deb and Myland loved to travel and enjoyed spending time at their cabin and going on cruises. Deb was known for her generous heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. Deb also had a fondness, bordering on obsession for all things Elvis.
She is survived by her loving husband, Myland of Rowley; children, Sonya Kramer of Cedar Rapids, Julia (Ron Gager) Kramer of Urbana, Christopher (Tara) Kramer of Brooklyn, Michael (Misty) Hepker of Vinton, Jaclyn Hepker of Cedar Rapids and Amber (Cade Foreman) Shaver of Cedar Rapids; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ronnie (Brenda) Tuttle of Center Point, Donnie (Shelly) Tuttle of Urbana and David (Cynthia) Tuttle of Cedar Rapids; and three sisters, Rhonda Tuttle of Urbana, Darlene Evans of Coggan and Dianna (Barry) White of San Antonio, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Renae Walters.
