Cheryl O'Donnell, 63, of Cedar Rapids, passed away
on Aug. 4, 2021, at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at
the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at
10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7,
at Oakland Church of the Nazarene. Burial to follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Cheryl Lynn Robinson was born June 26, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Charles and Shirley (Andrews) Robinson. She graduated from Kennedy High School, class of 1976, and then graduated from the St. Luke's Nursing School. After graduating from nursing school and doing nursing for a number of years she went on to have her own daycare business for 10 years. Following that she went on to work at Transamerica for just short of 20 years before retiring.
Cheryl was united in marriage to Tom O'Donnell on Jan. 12, 2005, in Las Vegas. Cheryl enjoyed golfing, bowling, sewing, crafting, gardening and camping with her kids and grandkids was an immense joy.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Tom; sons, Corey Coleman of Portland, Ore., Chad Coleman of Cedar Rapids and Aaron (Rebecca) Coleman of Atkins; grandchildren, Nekoda and Isaac Coleman; and a sister, Carla (Bret) Brecke of Cedar Rapids.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
