CEDAR RAPIDS — Central Furniture Rescue, Community Health Free Clinic and Safe Place Foundation are the three not-for-profits selected for this year’s Operation Overnight during which Geonetric staff will build websites and digital marketing services free of charge.
The 501(c)(3) organizations were selected from a pool of applications, Geonetric said in a news release Tuesday.
- Central Furniture Rescue provides furniture and household items free of charge to those who are transitioning out of homelessness into their own home.
- Community Health Free Clinic offers free medical, dental, vision and prescription services for those without access to or the ability to pay for health care.
- Safe Place provides a recovery-based living environment for homeless men suffering with drug and alcohol addiction.
Geonetric, a Cedar Rapids-based business that builds websites and provides marketing services for health care clients, started Operation Overnight in 2012.
In that time, Operation Overnight has designed and launched 41 websites for 37 Corridor-based not-for-profits. This year’s week-long event will begin Oct. 11.
For Operation Overnight, Geonetric teams design websites and provide digital marketing services for area not-for-profits. Above, the 2018 event. (Liz Martin/The Gazette)
