Bernita Antoinette Jacobs, 93, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021, at Danville Care Center in Danville, Iowa. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, is assisting the family.
Bernita was born Aug. 16, 1927, in Waubeek, Iowa, the daughter of William
and Alice (Bruce) Ross. On Sept. 12, 1943, in Marion, Bernita was united in marriage to Boyd Jacobs.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, William (Pam) Jacobs of Marion; two daughters, Patricia (Jim) Hand of Middletown, Iowa, and Donna (Denny) Sanborn of Lake City, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Bernita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Boyd; sister, Ellen Bateman; and brothers, Wallace and Faye Ross.
