Myra Gene Oltmann, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Monticello, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2021, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa.
Myra was born on June 11, 1938, the daughter of Albert and Marie (Wiesender) Schoenbeck. She graduated from Monticello High School. In November of 1958, Myra was united in marriage to Eugene Oltmann. Her life was her family and she enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and painting. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Carla Oltmann and Risa Oltmann, both of Marion; granddaughter, Muriel Oltmann of Rochester, Minn.; brother, Robert (Mary) Schoenbeck of California; sister, Joyce Stearns of Iowa City, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
Myra was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Leila; and brothers, Leland, Melvin and David.
Memorials in Myra's memory may be directed to American Cancer Society.
The family would like to express a special thank-you to the entire staff at Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha for the love and care shown to Myra and her family.
