Terry Wey, 66, of Cedar Rapids, died on Sunday, June 27, 2021, from cardiac dysrhythmia.
Terry was born Sept. 16, 1954, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Cecil and Lorraine Wey. Terry graduated from Spooner High School, Spooner, Wis.,
in 1972. He graduated from Dunwoody Institute in St. Paul, Minn., in May 1974. He moved to Cedar Rapids to work at Collins Radio (Rockwell Collins), where he was employed until he retired in 2011 at age 57.
Terry married Jeanette Peterson on April 2, 1977, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, in Edina, Minn.
Terry is survived by and will be greatly missed by his wife, Jeanette; son, Kevin (Britta) Wey; daughter, Sarah (Ben) Young; four grandchildren, Sydney and Simon Young, and Adam and Reagan Wey; and six siblings, brother-in-law and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Mary.
Terry's memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Marion. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. before memorial service.
