CLARA “JOAN" KNIGHT-HOUTS-WARD
Windsor, Colo.
Clara "Joan" Knight-Houts-Ward, 89, of Windsor, Colo., died Saturday, July 17, 2021.
Born Feb. 29, 1932, in Lockloosa, Fla., she was a longtime Robins resident. She married Elmer "Dean" Knight on Aug. 9, 1953, in Marion. Both Dean and Joan were charter members of Faith Bible Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Kathy M. Swanson (Dave), Julie A. Briggs (Walt), Carol J. Nexbouer (Frank) and Patti L. Bailey; a son, Kenneth D. Knight (Carolyn); three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Elmer Dean Knight; second husband, Joe Houts; and third husband, Bill Ward. She was also preceded in death by four sisters.
There will be a Celebration of Life Open House for Joan from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, at Faith Bible Church in Cedar Rapids.
There will be a private burial.
