By Jordan Kurth: I remember being sat down by the school counselor in class and told that school would be dismissing early because something had happened and that we were supposed to talk to our parents when we got home.

So when I got home from school that day, I walked into the garage and noticed that my mom's vehicle was home. The funny thing is that she was barely ever home early.

When I got into the living room, I started rambling on about my day, still not knowing what was going on. I sat down, and Mom told me to be quiet and watch what was going on. She then later explained that there was a terrorist attack and a lot of people got hurt.

I was shocked, but at the same time, I was also very confused, seeing that I was only in second grade.
