Dawson 50th Anniversary
Larry and Pat (Merchant) Dawson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 31. They were married at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vinton on July 31, 1971.
Larry and Pat met as teachers at Fisher Elementary School in Marshalltown and spent their careers as elementary administrator and educator in communities throughout Iowa. Larry and Pat retired from Central City and Center Point-Urbana, respectively, where they both made lifelong friends and greatly enjoyed their students.
The Dawsons are the wonderful parents to one daughter and son-in-law, and they have a grandson who absolutely adores them. The family will celebrate this monumental anniversary in Greece next year. OPA!
