Apple picking benefits the Salvation Army

In the fall, there was an article in The Gazette asking if anyone still used the old-fashioned-style apple pickers. We use two of them for our apple trees. Our two McIntosh trees are organic - no pesticides used - and the apples are exceptionally delicious. The trees produce more fruit
than we can use, so we put out a “Pick Your Own” sign.
This year, we gave the option of donations to the Salvation Army, and collected $50. We look forward to next year's harvest and meeting our apple friends again. Thanks to all who donated to the Salvation Army.
