Loebsack continually helps veterans

I would like to speak to my fellow veterans about this year's 2nd District congressional race between Rep. Dave Loebsack, D-Iowa, and John Archer. I don't know Archer, so I can't comment on his character, but I do know Loebsack and what he's done for veterans. Loebsack helped pass the Post-9/11 GI Bill, which enhanced education benefits for returning veterans. The passage of this bill was perhaps the most important piece of legislation passed in the last decade. The benefits to our country of having a well-trained and educated work force are immeasurable.
But Loebsack's involvement with veterans' issues didn't end with the passage of that bill. Loebsack has held countless meetings with student veterans to hear their concerns, which in turn gives him the information needed to address further challenges that veterans are facing. As we continue withdrawing our troops from combat, it is essential that we create a climate that leads veterans down a path of success. Loebsack understands this and will continue to legislate accordingly. So in November, when you're at the polls, let's thank returning veterans by sending Loebsack back to carry on the good fight for all of us.
