Video: Breslin Center rocks right before tip-off
Michigan State's got it figured out. Students line the court at the Breslin Center, and they are vocal. They chant. The band plays in accordance to the play on the court. If there's a foul, there's one type of song. If there's a timeout, there's another. It's an intimidating environment, for sure.
It takes time and tradition to build that kind of atmosphere. Iowa has neither when it comes to its student fan base. But sampling what other arenas do from warm-ups to media timeouts could make the fan experience better at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
