Dorothy M. Carney, 84, passed away on July 17, 2021, at her home in Iowa City, Iowa.
Dorothy's family will receive guests for visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, 2720 Muscatine Ave., Iowa City.
Surviving Dorothy are her cherished children, Timothy Carney, Terry (Janice) Carney, Walter "Moose" Carney Jr., Connie (Mike) Prushe and Kevin Carney; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; siblings, Harry (Ellen) Berg, Evelyn (the late Larry) Beaver, Clarence (Karen) Berg and Tom (Cindi) Berg; and sister-in-law, Arlene Berg.
Sadly, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Dwane Carney Sr.; siblings, Roy (Marilyn) Berg and Gilbert Berg; and parents, Roy and Gladys Berg.
Memorial contributions are suggested to either Dorothy's family, or the Johnson or Cedar county animal shelters.
