Iowa students get White House internships

Three college students with Iowa connections have been selected for White House internships for the fall 2010 session.
They are:
- Michelle Grau, Newell, Iowa State University
- Dane Hudson, Beloit, Wis., University of Iowa
- Shannon Woods, Burlington, International Academy of Design and Technology-Chicago, Ill.
The program's mission is to make the White House accessible to future leaders and cultivate and prepare those devoted to public service for future leadership opportunities. Interns work in one of several White House departments.
Additional information about the White House Internship Program is available at
www.whitehouse.gov/about/internships. The application for the spring 2011 program is on the website. The deadline is Oct. 10.
