Religious freedom law is mean-spirited

To the editor:
Religious freedom. Where, when, how, with whom you can give thanks to your God, study and show devotion to the ideals associated with your theology and encourage others to see God as you do and worship with you. How will 'religious freedom laws” help us win hearts for Christ? Help us feed the hungry? Help us better define who is the 'neighbor”? Display love for our enemies?
Help us to remember John 12:47, 'For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.” It seems to me, a heartbreaking misstep to identify ourselves as 'Christians” by with whom we refuse to do business. Asking for legal permission to limit business association with those who are not religiously acceptable to us, does nothing to help us build our personal relationships with Christ. All of Christ's words and examples call for inclusion, not exclusion. How do religious freedom laws fit in with the words of Matthew 6:1 'Beware of practicing your piety before others, to be seen by them, for then you have no reward from your father in heaven”. Useless, un-Christlike and mean-spirited.
