VONDA M. (NODURFT) BILLHORN

Vonda M. (Nodurft) Billhorn, 90, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, while on vacation with her daughters in Montana. Visitation for Vonda will be held from
3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester. Funeral service for Vonda will be
10:30 a.m. Friday, July 23, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Tony D. Ede officiating. Additional visitation: one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
Vonda was born Sept. 15, 1930, in Strawberry Point, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Hilda (Fredrick) Nodurft. She was a graduate of Strawberry Point High School. Vonda married Kenneth Billhorn on Aug. 23, 1949, in Strawberry Point, Iowa, three children were born into this union. They farmed together in Strawberry Point and then moved to Manchester in 1960, where she started working for the ASCS office and later worked for Dr. Bushnell's office. She owned and operated the Mode O'Day Store, She then worked for the special education office. She started her legal career for Charlton Law Office and then retired from Hanson Law Office.
Vonda was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, gardening, sewing, quilting and needle work, traveling and riding in the car.
Vonda is survived by her children, Gloria Kluesner of Manchester and Kathryn Petersen of Knoxville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Scott (Cher) Delperdang, Shaun (Nicole) Flanagan and Bry'nne Flanagan (Ben), Justin and Joel (Nicole) Kluesner, and Sara (Alan) Pinkerton and Elizabeth "Liz" Petersen; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Hilda Nodurft; husband of 64 years, Ken; daughter, Bonnie Billhorn; grandson, Chad Delperdang; son-in-law, Lyle Kluesner; brother, Raymond Nodurft; and sister, Vernita Pape.
