Gayle I. Grissel (Wall), 70, of Solon, Iowa, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha due to a lengthy illness. Private family burial will take place, there will be no services. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Gayle was born Nov. 7, 1950, to John and Bonnie (Yanda) Wall. She graduated from Prairie High School. Gayle was united in marriage to Tim Grissel on Feb. 1, 1969.
Gayle is survived by her husband of 52 years, Tim Grissel; children, Tim Grissel Jr. and Kelly (Shane) Grissel; and grandchildren, Jason, Alyssa, Sydney and Kamryn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bonnie Wall; and brother, John W. Wall.
