Students at the University of Iowa, Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa would pay 2.3 percent to 3.9 percent more in residence hall rates next year, under proposals to be considered by the state Board of Regents Wednesday.
The cost of double occupancy rooms with full board will increase 3.9 percent at the UI, 2.7 percent at ISU and 2.3 percent at UNI next year under the proposals. That equates to $286 more at the UI, to $7,662; $193 more at ISU, to $7,397; and $160 more at UNI, to $7,120.
The regents also will consider parking rate increases at ISU and UNI, most ranging from 2 to 3 percent. UI officials are recommending no parking rate increases.
