Cirque Du Soleil employee found dead at Crowne Plaza
A Canadian man was found dead Friday afternoon in his room at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on First Avenue.
Renee-Claude Menard, a spokesperson with the Cirque Du Soleil, said that the man was employed with the production, and that his coworkers are awaiting the results of the autopsy to determine what caused the man's death.
Menard said that investigators don't think the death was suspicious or that anyone is in danger.
Hotel employees contacted authorities at around 2:30 p.m. after they were told that an employee of the Cirque Du Soleil had not come in to work.
Police are not releasing the name of the man.
