Cornhuskers' treasure begging to be raided
Mike Hlas Jul. 14, 2009 6:07 pm
These two commemorative Nebraska Cornhuskers national-championship footballs will be selling at auction on July 25 in an auction in Uehling, Neb.
Now, far be it from me to tell you how to spend your money. But this could be similar to raiding Saddam Hussein's palace of its golden bathroom fixtures.
For the Uehling sale bill, I direct you to midwestauction.com. Which, coincidentally, is the Midwest's top auction site.
The owner/operator of the site is Scott Wingert, who completed a 16-year tenure at the Gazette just days ago. If we can help his online empire to keep growing, he may one day build something that makes Saddam's palace look like a shotgun shack.
