Josephine M. Page, 91, of Marion, Iowa, passed away
on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Northbrook Manor Nursing Home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Family will greet friends
from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service
of Marion. A funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 15, at the funeral home officiated by certified celebrant Casey Hepker. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Central City, Iowa.
Josephine was born on Oct. 12, 1929, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Edwin and Erma (Jacobson) Hanzlik. She graduated from Wilson High School. On July 2, 1949, Josephine was united in marriage to Denver G. Page. To this union, three children were born, Lary, Christine and Kurt. Josephine loved raising her family, she was a great mother, and adored her only grandson and his wife and her two great-grandsons. They were her pride and joy. To her children, she was the "greatest mother in the world." She was very energetic and enjoyed ballroom dancing with Denver. Josephine also enjoyed listening to big band music, shopping on QVC, chatting on the phone and was always helping others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Josephine is survived and lovingly remembered by her three children, Lary Page of Central City, Christine (Dave) Keeran of Cedar Rapids and Kurt Page of Marion; grandson, Zachary (Jessica) Keeran of Fairfax; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Jaxon Keeran; two siblings, Bonnie (Eddie) Herman of Ione, Calif., and Vicky Trent of San Diego, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Erma Hanzlik; husband, Denver Page; and siblings, Anna Mae (Jack) McVay, Kenneth "Kenny" (Patti) Hanzlik, Dale (Mary) Hanzlik, Edwin "Buzz" (Alice) Hanzlik and Martin "Sonny" (Kay) Hanzlik.
