Here's chance to replace incumbents

This election season, we here in Iowa have a unique opportunity before us.

We have the opportunity to replace two congressmen who have stood side by side with President Obama and his economic policies, men who have become part of the problem, rather the solution.

We have the opportunity to replace an attorney general who has made serious mistakes and has exhibited poor judgment. We have the opportunity to replace judges who have tried to legislate from the bench, overstepping their boundaries. We have the opportunity to replace an inept and incompetent governor.

We need to get beyond whether there is an “R” or “D” after the name, but rather ask ourselves, who will best represent the people of Iowa? Who will stay within the boundaries set by the Constitution? Who will not seek their own interests nor pander to special interest groups, but do what is right and honorable?

We have the opportunity to lay the foundation for real hope and real change. I hope all who participate will take this election seriously, knowing that elections have consequences, both for ourselves and for those who will come after us.
