The Cedar Rapids Fire Department promoted Vance McKinnon to assistant fire chief.
Josie Velles is now senior director of development services with the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation.
The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art promoted Kate Kunau to curator of collections and exhibitions.
Board members
The Cedar Rapids branch of the American Association of University Women elected Linda Armitage as president, Deanna Howard as secretary and Trudy Sundermann as treasurer. It also elected Sue Jorgensen, Gwen Randall, Barb Goings and Carole Bernard as advisory board members.
Kristen Shaffer, vice president at Shuttleworth and Ingersoll in Coralville, is the new president of the Iowa State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.
Seminar
The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance will present “Law and Libations” 4 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, at Lion Bridge Brewery in Cedar Rapids.
