Kadimoke, Nicodeme F. 'Nico'
Nicodeme F. “Nico” Kadimoke, 22, of Iowa City, died suddenly from complications of Lupus at his home on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City. (Sunday parking ordinance will be in effect.) Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his memory.

Nico was born March 3, 1987, in Tanzania. He and his family lived in Belgium before they moved to Iowa City in 2002, his sophomore year at City High School. At City High, he played football, basketball and soccer. Following graduation in 2005, he attended and later graduated from Wartburg College in 2008, with a degree in international business and a minor in French. While at Wartburg, he played defensive end no. 99 with the Wartburg Knights football team all four years of his college career.
His family includes his mother, Venantie N'Duhirahe; brothers, Aaron Moka, Patient Botembe, Thierry Botembe and Joel Moise; sisters, Elisee Botembe and Bibiche Botembe; a host of other family and very dear friends.
A candlelight vigil will be held following the visitation at the funeral home on Saturday at City High School. A sharing time will follow.
