Linn-Mar 54, Cedar Rapids Prairie 28Kiah Stokes scored 20 of her game-high 30 points in the first half as Linn-Mar built a 29-8 halftime lead en route to a 54-28 Mississippi Valley Conference girls' basketball victory Friday night at Cedar Rapids Prairie.The No. 2 Lions (17-1, 12-1 MVC) forced 20 turnovers.The Hawks (4-13, 3-10) were led by Mackenzie Blaha with nine points on three 3-point field goals.
Iowa City High 67, Cedar Rapids Kennedy 51City High opened the second half on a 10-0 run to erase a five-point halftime deficit and went on to down the Cougars at home.The Little Hawks were led by Virginia Johnson's 24 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists.Sierra Chambers and Mickey Hansche also scored in double figures for City High (14-4, 9-4 MVC).Courtney Strait paced Kennedy (5-11, 5-8) with 24 points.
