A Lisbon-area couple was arrested last week for having guns and marijuana around an 8-year-old child, according to court documents.
Dana P. Page, 31, and Jamie L. Vandee, 27, are both charged with possession of a firearm as a felon, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and child endangerment.
Linn County Sheriff Brian Gardner said a tip prompted a raid at the couple's home, 1283 Hoosier Road, on Friday. Inside, authorities found an AK-47 assault rifle and a double-barreled shotgun, Gardner said. The assault rifle was loaded with one round. Page and Vandee have both been previously convicted of felonies.
Authorities also located six marijuana plants and a large plastic bag of dried marijuana on the second floor of the home. Vandee's 8-year-old daughter was not present during the raid, but had access to the drugs, authorities said.
Page and Vandee remained in custody at the Linn County Jail on Monday afternoon. A judge set bond at $45,000 for both of them.
Linn County Sheriff's deputies were assisted in the raid by the local Drug Enforcement Administration task force and the Mount Vernon Police Department.
