Barrel prices are low, why is gas so high?
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Once again, gas prices are soaring. When prices for oil went over $90 a barrel, gas prices shot up from $2.79 a gallon to $3.05 in a matter of days. Now oil prices are dropping each day; as of Jan. 25, to below $87 per barrel. Do we see gas prices come back down? No!
When is someone in the media going to do some real investigative journalism and uncover what is going on? These companies are making profits in the billions and we are supposed to do nothing.
I don't want to hear about what the government is doing to fine these companies because we never see the money.
I challenge The Gazette or the news stations to do a real story on prices at the pumps. Get the real story and report it!
One more thing. How is it the Army Corps of Engineers says it will cost $100 million for a flood wall on the east side but if we do the west side as well, it will cost $375 million? Let's extend the tax for 40 years; no one will ever know.
