Gas line struck near Boyson Road and Council Street
Gas fumed from an underground line Tuesday evening after a construction crew struck it. The Cedar Rapids Fire Department responded to a call a few minutes after 5 p.m. The leak was secured by a hazardous materials crew while police diverted traffic away from the scene. Council Street was closed for about two hours between Boyson Road and 60th Street NE.
