Rockwell Collins introduced a new line of in-flight entertainment monitor that can be mounted directly to overhead storage bins on regional jets on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
The nine-inch liquid crystal display monitors were introduced at the Airline Passenger Experience Association Expo in Seattle. They feature a lightweight design and lower low power consumption.
The new monitors for regional jets will be available in early 2012, the company said. They can be used with Rockwell Collins' dPAVES in-flight entertainment system to provide digital entertainment, prerecorded announcements and the company's Airshow 3D moving map.
