Letter: Rod Blum’s vote hurt constituents

What? Courageous? No, Rep. Rod Blum was not courageous for attending town hall meetings. Courage would have happened if he had stood up to Washington politics and supported a health care plan that didn't hurt his constituents nor the nation. Courage would have happened if he had told the big donors who supported him that donations do not purchase votes. Now that would have taken some courage. The same has been said of Sen. Chuck Grassley and Sen. Joni Ernst in the past for facing their constituents - calling them courageous.
What Blum and the others did by attending town hall meetings was a show of disregard.
