Johnson County website redesign launches Monday
Jul. 7, 2021 8:00 am
JOHNSON COUNTY — Johnson County will launch a redesigned website on Monday.
The new site, which is Drupal-based, is designed to provide the public with easier access to county data, with quick links on the homepage directing users to the most-accessed information. It has an adaptive design that can be easily accessed via desktop or mobile device. It also meets the compliance standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
“In redesigning the site, we tried to focus on serving the public in the best way possible,” said Bill Horning, Information Technology Director. “We want to ensure that any member of the public visiting the Johnson County website can get the information they are looking for in as few clicks as possible.”
The website address still is https://www.johnsoncountyiowa.gov/, but the link structure has changed. Bookmarked links may not work. It may also take some time for search engines to recognize the new site. If you have issues locating information on the redesigned website, contact Johnson County Information Technology at (319) 356-6080.
