Second String Sportswriters Football Selections

We've got faces for radio and voices for the newspaper. This week a few of us SourceMedia Group sportswriters will make the same selections on our multiple websites as the stars who appear in the Saturday morning version of The Gazette. Here's our chance to shine:

JEFF JOHNSON

• Iowa 31, Michigan 14 – If I could just have some of Denard Robinson's excess hair, I'd cure my baldness.
• Oklahoma 42, Iowa State 14 – Gotta snicker at those who paid good money to be at Jack Trice Stadium last week. Well, I guess they did get to see one good team.
• Ohio State 28, Wisconsin 21 – Guessing Bret Bielema's coaching “card” will say to kick extra points after its touchdowns this week.
• Last week: 1-2; Overall: 12-6

SCOTT DOCHTERMAN

• Iowa 34, Michigan 10 - The card says score at will against Greg Robinson's defense.
• Oklahoma 61, Iowa State 16 - Iowa State has beaten Oklahoma once since 1961 and that was 20 years ago.
• Ohio State 24, Wisconsin 20 - Buckeyes: BCS this, Badgers.
• Last week: 0-3; Overall: 10-8

JEFF LINDER

• Iowa 27, Michigan 20 - I promise. No “Big House” references. 
• Oklahoma 55, Iowa State 21 - (Will keep this G-rated) Two words: Oh. Dear.
• Wisconsin 17, Ohio State 13- Two weeks, two No. 1s bite the dust.
• Last week: 2-1; Overall: 13-2

K.J. PILCHER

• Iowa 34, Michigan 17 - Why Sammie is sticking with Ronnie after Snooky and JWoww exposed his infidelity boggles my mind.
• Oklahoma 38, Iowa State 13 – Why are people amazed the Arquettes broke up? Anyone see “Ready to Rumble”?
• Ohio State 24, Wisconsin 21 – I picked the winner and score this way because my card said it was the move to make.
