Former Cedar Rapids Washington star Katelin Oney takes job at UNI
She starred on the court for the Panthers and now returns as an assistant coach
CEDAR FALLS — Northern Iowa hired former player Katelin Oney, a Cedar Rapids Washington grad, as an assistant coach Tuesday.
“She is energetic, selfless and a terrific teacher with great knowledge of the game,” UNI Coach Tanya Warren said. “We are thrilled to welcome her home.”
Oney arrives at UNI after being an assistant coach at Cleveland State. After graduating from UNI, Oney coached at Div. II Wayne State, Div. II St. Mary’s and North Dakota.
