Cedar Falls (22-18) vs. Cedar Rapids Kennedy (31-6)

Scouting Report:Second-ranked Kennedy swept the regular-season double-header, 10-0 and 12-0. Cougars look for third consecutive state tourney appearance. Cody Bell is team's leading hitter at .463, with Josh Jahlas next at .450. Ace pitcher Alex Hayden is 9-2 with a 1.03 ERA. Shawn Hagarty is CF's leading hitter at .382. His seventh-inning RBI single Monday night lifted the Tigers past Cedar Rapids Xavier in a substate semifinal.
Dubuque Senior (22-19) vs. Iowa City West (33-8)

Scouting Report:West swept the regular-season double-header, 4-2 and 14-8. Fifth-ranked Trojans have won 16 of 17 down the stretch. Junior Reid Bonner has had terrific all-around season, hitting .397 with five home runs, 32 RBIs and 23 for 23 in stolen bases. Kellen Yoder is 7-0 on the mound with 1.91 ERA. He was part of combined two-hit shutout of Cedar Rapids Washington in first-round substate game. Senior will surely throw ace pitcher Alex Steines. He is 7-6 with 2.31 ERA, striking out 101 in 68 innings.
Muscatine (26-11) vs. Linn-Mar (28-11)

Scouting Report:No. 8 Lions look for first state tournament berth since 2006. Junior Nate Greve has been solid at plate and on mound, leading team with .384 batting average and going 6-3 with 1.49 ERA as pitcher, striking out 74 in 37 2/3 innings. Junior Austin Stroschein has team-leading 44 RBIs. L-M will likely have to solve Muscatine ace Derek Burkamper, who is 8-4 with 1.30 ERA.

Scouting Report:Decorah already knocked off one ranked foe when it beat No. 9 New Hampton in a Monday district final, now takes aim at third-ranked Clear Lake. James Ostlie (.429) and Josey Jewell (.419) have far and away been Vikings' top two hitters. Jewell has team-best seven home runs. Ace pitcher Landon Ashbacher (6-6, 2.31 ERA) went 4 2/3 innings in relief Monday night, so it'll be interesting to see if he can pitch at all tonight. CL's Ozzie Adams threw a one-hit shutout against Charles City in last week's district semifinals and should pitch tonight. He's 9-1 with 1.56 ERA and also leads team with .504 batting average.
Marion (29-12) vs. Benton Community (34-7)

Scouting Report:Wamac Conference rivals split in regular season, each winning, 7-1. Tyler Hedtke (6-2, 2.01 ERA) got the win for Marion and will pitch tonight. Indians, who made it to state tourney semifinals last season, got 13 hits in district final win Monday night over Solon, including three from Trev Biery, who leads club with .406 batting average. Leadoff hitter Mitch Wagner is right behind at .405. Benton leads Class 3A in runs scored and is third with .373 batting average. Junior Jacob Germann and Mitch Moser lead club in hitting at .478 and .477, respectively. Senior Jake Stenberg has team-leading 60 RBIs and has struck out just five times in 138 at-bats.
Western Dubuque (33-9) vs. Maquoketa (27-13)
Where: Maquoketa
When: 7 p.m.
Scouting Report:The Wamac Conference is assured of another state qualifier here. Maquoketa swept regular-season double-header, 5-4 and 4-3. Cardinals ousted perennial power Davenport Assumption in district finals Monday and are looking for just second state tourney berth. Maquoketa won 3A championship in 1983. Sophomore Trent Bollman is team's leading hitter at .451 and has team-best 26 stolen bases. WD has won 25 of last 27 games, including seven straight. Ryan Lehmann leads team with .493 BA, 24 doubles, seven homers and 52 RBIs.
Williamsburg (26-14) vs. Washington (21-14)
Where: Washington
When: 7 p.m.
Scouting Report:Could the mighty Wamac have 40 percent of the 3A field? Teams played in regular season, with Washington winning, 9-2. Whoever wins this game will be making their third state tourney appearance. Washington made it to 3A semifinals last season. Williamsburg was in the field last in 2002. Junior Cody Marine is hitting .390 for W'burg with 18 doubles and five homers. Washington shocked second-ranked Grinnell in Monday district final, 8-3, with sophomore Walker Breard hitting a three-run home run.
