Indiana has played five home football games this year. It had a crowd of 52,329 for Michigan at the third home game, on Oct. 2.
Michigan was 4-0 and Indiana 3-0 entering the game. Apparently, many Hoosiers fans were hopeful. Or else a lot of Michigan people drove south.
That was Indiana's Big Ten opener. It is now 0-4 in league play. Saturday, the crowd for Northwestern's 20-17 win over the Hoosiers in Bloomington was 37,817, dropping the home average to 41,747.
