City offers plenty to do

For all the folks who think there's nothing to do in Cedar Rapids, as Paul Harvey said, “Stand by for news”: Just check the HooplaNow, Source Media, or The Gazette calendar for more doings than you can imagine. What, no Internet? Then, just for the fun of it, show up at The Blue Strawberry at 5 p.m. Aug. 22 for the Cedar City Dixieland Stompers.
I caught their act on Aug. 8 and the band puts on a traditional Dixieland show second to none. It's the Fifth Season in Cedar Rapids, take time to enjoy.
