Polk sucesses should not be overlooked

Polk School must have the perfect combination of leadership and teachers to be able to achieve their getting off the Schools in Need of Assistance list, a feat only two out of 21 schools in Cedar Rapids accomplished.
In the name of simple common sense, this school should serve as an example to all other schools in the Cedar Rapids area and not be subject to the possibility of its doors being closed.
In fact, such a decision to close a school which has achieved this success, succinctly stated, reeks of irresponsibility.
