There are so many appreciative things that could be said about professional baseball in Cedar Rapids but the limit of words for a letter does not permit rambling. Seeing what has been accomplished since World War II speaks for itself.
The dedicated people who have brought us excellent baseball through their direction and dedication is the reason that Cedar Rapids can be very proud of its excellent family entertainment, beautiful ballpark, current championship team and outstanding operation.
It is a real privilege to come to a Kernels game and see fine young men on the field giving their best to advance to a higher level, to see mom and dads enjoying the game with their children in an atmosphere that is wholesome.
There are so many good people who have directed the Kernels operation through the years and need thanks, including the present leaders, fans, media and others.
So come out to the ballpark and enjoy the low ticket prices, good food and warm fellowship which you while you watch very good baseball. You won't be disappointed.
