Williamsburg (17-6) vs. Mount Pleasant (20-1) at U.S. Cellular Center, 6:30 p.m.: Williamsburg comes into this game off a 59-56 district final victory over Wamac Conference rival Clear Creek-Amana. The Raiders defeated South Tama in the first round of districts, 76-60. Williamsburg likes to play an up-tempo game, led by senior guard Chad Malloy. He averages 18.0 points per game and has made a team-high 47 3-pointers, one more than teammate Kelly O'Rourke ... Mount Pleasant has been ranked No.1 or No. 2 since Christmas. The Panthers lost to Marion in a substate final last season and has no seniors on its roster. The leading scorers are guard Scott Hahn (17.1 points per game) and center Henry Krieger-Coble (15.1 ppg). MP's head coach is Paul Rundquist, who played at Maquoketa Valley for his father, Gordon, now an assistant at Iowa City West.
Western Dubuque (18-5) vs. Decorah (13-10) at Cedar Falls (McLeod Center), 8 p.m.: WD likes to control tempo and play tough defensively. Junior wing Zach Otting leads the way in scoring at 18.7 ppg. Center Derrick Pape averages a 11.5 ppg and team-best 9.2 rebounds per game. He had 16 points, 17 rebounds and seven blocks in WD's 51-50 escape of West Delaware in a district final. The Bobcats waxed Oelwein in the first round, 55-27 ... Decorah has made 134 3-pointers this season, which is sixth in Class 3A. The Vikings spread out their offense, with three players averaging double figures: Steve Drost (12.3 ppg), Chris Wanless (12.1 ppg) and Isaiah Brown (10.6 ppg). Decorah picked up district wins over Crestwood (56-52) and Independence (60-46).
