Candidates, play nice and stop calling
Jan. 13, 2012 11:37 pm
In recent weeks, we have received anywhere from four to eight political phone calls a day. I am sick of it. The best time is around dinner in the evening. Our home number is unlisted and we are on the Do Not Call list. However, we heard if you are a registered voter, you will get called. Do they think we do not get enough information from the television, radio and newspapers?
I do not care if the president is black/white/yellow/red or purple. I do not care what religion he/she is. I do not care if he/she has been married more that once.
I do care about finding jobs for our unemployed Americans, our health care system and benefits for our veterans.
Being the president is a huge job and you cannot please everyone. However, the negative ads do nothing. And we have another year to go. I am dreading it. It is time that the so-called adults, better known as candidates, start playing nice and being adults. And, quit calling my phone.
