Marie Joy Fry, 85, of Williamsburg, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, at the First Presbyterian Church, Williamsburg, with the Rev. Daniel Jessop officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Williamsburg, with military honors. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, at the First Presbyterian Church, Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed to the Alzheimer's Association. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Joy is survived by her son, Tod Fry of Williamsburg; two daughters, Kim Fry of Williamsburg and Lynnette (Larion) Yoder of Tiffin; seven grandchildren, Jonathan (Jaclyn) Kolosik of Kalona, Jennifer Stark of Amana, Jacob (Tiffany) Schlesselman of Marengo, Alaysia McAtee (Nate) of Seattle, Wash., Briley McAtee (Drew), of North Liberty Bowen (Katelin) Yoder of Williamsburg and Keanna Fry of Williamsburg; and eight great-grandchildren, Cora and Everly Kolosik, Ella Stark, Evan, Owen and Karter Schlesselman, and Huxley Yoder.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Florence Dych Eglinger; her husband, Bill, in 2006; two sisters; and one brother.
