DNR’s role appears ever-diminishing

Gov. Terry Branstad should just get rid of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and save the state millions of dollars. He doesn't listen to them anyway.
So, hunters and fishermen, send your checks to the Iowa Farm Bureau for hunting rights! They seem to be running the show as far as wildlife management these days. The honorable governor should worry about budgets, creating jobs, education, health care, taxes, roads and bridges.
The professionals at the DNR, many of whom he hired, should control wildlife management, deer herds, pheasant population, fishing limits, etc. - not the Farm Fureau.
