Braley works for middle class

Oxfam America, an organization on the ground in more than 90 countries, provides disaster relief and long term solutions to poverty, hunger and injustice.
As reported in the summer issue of their news magazine, Oxfam America conducted a study that found that about one in five workers in the U.S. would benefit from raising the minimum wage. It would lift more than 50 million Americans out of poverty.
Benefits would include building a work force that is not dependent on assistance from taxpayers, but would themselves be contributors to the common good.
This is just one of many reasons I will be voting for Bruce Braley for the U.S. Senate. He works for the middle class and is not beholden to billionaires who are focused on their profits, not the future health of our society's economy. I will be voting early on Sept. 25.
